Hi guys! My name is Tiarna Maggs, I’m 20 and a third year student based in Port Macquarie. I’m studying a Bachelor of Education (K-12) with a major in English and I’m hoping to pick up Studies of Religion soon! I’ve always thought using technology in the classroom is a great engagement technique – I mean, look at all the technology that surrounds young people today! I am currently on a 6 (now 7 because of the Nothern NSW Bushfires!) week high school placement 40 minutes north of home and have been exposed to a range of technology strategies to use in classrooms, from their BYOD policy to using an app called Stile for lessons. I am looking forward to developing my knowledge and portfolio of effect technological strategies to be used in the classroom in this subject.
